I used to write poetry as a teenager and young woman. It was a creative activity given up long ago. In the peaceful place I now call home, phrases rise up into my awareness and I seem compelled again to write them down.
In our "Discover you!" workshops we encourage participants to let their right brain emerge through guided reflection. Interacting with horses in their natural setting and being fully present in the here-and-now allows the non-verbal right brain to express his or herself. The verbal and bossy left brain isn't always in charge.
Perhaps that's happening for me in my day-to-day existence at home. My left brain has completely let the office go and relaxed enough to let my right brain express her creativity.
Thank you to my photographer friends, Danny and Debby. Danny captured the moment with Dixie and Debby shot the portrait of Alaska.
