A few days ago this field was green, and by tomorrow the white will be gone.
The storm gave us nearly 6 inches of wet snow that stuck on tree leaves causing branches to bend beyond their limits. We've cut down the trees broken by the storm and hauled seven truckloads of branches.
This is our sometimes crazy Alberta weather. Everything goes on almost as usual here, though, since we have cozy outbuildings.
The Windhorses love this weather and are frisky.
Last night as it started to snow again, they galloped from this far field, up the lane and into the paddocks by the barn. They wheeled and thundered back down again around the field, then back to where I was standing. From the youngest to the oldest, the mini to the draft, all bucking and playing - and I didn't have a camera!
